Getting the Word Out: Analyzing, Evaluating, and Improving your Marketing Materials

Date: Saturday, December 8, 2007

Time: 10:30-2:30 pm

Place: Carlock Village Hall, Carlock, IL

Cost: $10

"Getting the word out" is one of the most crucial parts of a successful farm enterprise. This workshop will give you ideas to will help you improve the content and design of your marketing materials. Farmers are invited to bring their current marketing materials, including business cards, brochures, signage, etc. Panelists will include professional designers and marketers, as well as experienced farmers involved in direct marketing. Break-out sessions will address specific marketing topics such as creating a website, using email, getting articles placed in local newspapers, and how to get the most from your farm brochure. Farmers are invited to bring their current marketing materials, including business cards, brochures, signage, etc. Registration fee includes lunch and all resource materials, including samples of effective marketing materials and a CD with templates that farmers can easily adapt to their own operation.
