Blue Moon Farm, a 20-acre certified organic vegetable farm, is hiring a Market Manager for the 2021 market season which comprises Saturdays from May-December. The Urbana Market at the Square is a vibrant, well-supported farmer’s market which Blue Moon has been an anchor of since 1997.
The market manager leads the team on setup, logistics, sales, and take-down. This person must love working on a team and talking to the public. The following experience and/or qualities are helpful: retail experience, vegetable growing experience or familiarity, love for and experience cooking produce, and a comfort with social media. Our market stand is fast-paced and busy. The market manager should embrace all the tasks of on-the-spot sales, chatting with customers, representing Blue Moon, keeping the display stocked and beautiful, trouble-shooting mishaps, and keeping the lines moving.
Hours are approximately 5:00am-2:00pm on Saturdays, and about an hour of planning on Fridays.
