Job/volunteer description: Hungry World Farm seeks aspiring farmers who are eager to learn and work alongside us on our educational farm! Through farm work, conversation, study, and participation in farm community life, interns will learn about regenerative agriculture, share in the labor of the farm, and share in the farm’s fresh, local food. Interns will engage in our market gardening operation, where a variety of annual and perennial vegetables, herbs and flowers are grown; our 2-acre blueberry patch; and care for our pasture-based livestock, including sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, rabbits, and pigs. Interns are provided with comfortable living space on the farm that is shared with other interns or farmers. Interns volunteer about 25 hours/week with hands-on operations of the farm, and spend about 10 hours/week engaging focused learning activities including field trips to other farms, presentations, discussions, reading and study. Salary: A stipend of $300/month is provided for first-year interns, plus $15/week farm bucks toward farm foods
