About the farm: Ready for your own farm? Turn-key farm + existing markets available in KY. A large historic house on a 27 acre property, with infrastructure for cattle grazing, raw dairy distribution, vegetable production, one acre of blueberries & housing for pastured poultry.
We have spent four years building a farm and a business we planned to enjoy for decades. Do you want to take over? With the arrival of our child, we have made the hard decision to move closer to family and put farming on hold. Instead of just putting the farm on the real estate market, we would really love to find another young farmer who would savor the expanded infrastructure and continue to improve the land.
In addition to building the infrastructure, we have built a solid market for the farm’s offerings. In partnership with nearby farms, we have been operating a Full Diet CSA and supplying dairy, eggs and veggies for it. We also run a small herdshare for raw milk distribution. We have fantastic customers and would be thrilled if we found someone interested in picking up any or all of this business. We are the only ones in the region supplying raw milk.
In our mind, the ideal candidate would be an experienced farm couple, with dairy or grazing experience, ready to take over the raw milk business, and manage vegetables and blueberries alongside it. Our partner farms are eager to continue the Full Diet CSA as well, ideally with your contribution! But the infrastructure is there for a variety of farm enterprises if dairy isn’t your thing. We always had visions of weddings and events in the tobacco barn, but couldn’t find the bandwidth to pursue these in earnest.
Those who are seriously interested can reach out and we can continue the conversation with more details. Renting, Leasing to Own, or Buying outright are all available options. Feel free to read about what we’ve been doing: pinkelephantfarm.com
