We have partnered with New Prairie Construction to offer 3 construction workshops for women and non-binary farmers to empower them with the practical skills and confidence to build, repair, and maintain essential farm infrastructure independently. All workshops will be taught by women.
By offering this workshop series, our hope is to address the following:
Skill development: Equip women & nonbinary farmers w/hands-on knowledge and proficiency in using construction tools and techniques for building and repairing farm infrastructure.
Empowerment and Confidence: Foster a sense of independence and self-reliance by providing women & nonbinary farmers the tools and training needed to tackle on-farm construction projects confidently.
Community Building: Create a supportive space where women & nonbinary farmers can network, share experiences, and collaborate while learning practical construction skills tailored to their farming needs.
