Summer Fruit Crumble

Equipment

Ingredients

Farmers Market Ingredients

  • 2 pints (4–5 cups) blueberries

Pantry Staples

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup oatmeal
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Gently wash the berries under cool running water, removing any stems or mushy berries. Pat dry.
  • Place the blueberries in an 8- or 9-inch ovenproof rimmed pan.
  • Melt the butter.
  • Add the flour, oatmeal, and brown sugar to the melted butter. Mix together until well combined.
  • Add the cinnamon and stir.
  • Drop the crumble mixture evenly over the blueberries.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes.
  • Cool and serve.

Notes

Substitutions
  • Blueberries: Frozen store-bought blueberries can be used. Do not thaw first.
  • Blueberries: 4 cups sliced apples, 4 cups fresh or frozen peaches, or 4 cups of any other berry.
